The famed West End musical, based on the life of Argentina's First Lady, Eva Peron, is coming to Shanghai. A sung-through drama, it follows the story of a young common girl who struggled her way up through post-World War 2 Argentina to become the wife and co-ruler of her country, alongside the infamous General Juan Peron. Based on a concept album composed by Andrew Lloyd Weber with lyrics by Tim Rice, and originally opening at the Prince Edward Theatre in June 1978, it was a critical and commercial success, inspiring a 1996 film starring Madonna.
