This year has had no shortage of adversity. And yet, 2nd StoryChicagos longest-running storytelling collectiveis another year bolder, ready to embrace its 22nd year of courageous storytelling. The evening includes a dance party courtesy of DJ LO Kari, food & cocktail recipe tips by 2nd Story leadership, and original, relatable stories that reveal how often our expectations do not match our realities.These stories will be told by: Kim Hunt, who explores a racialized experience with her roommate during her freshman year at college and what it means to hold your ground; Liz Rice (storytelling debut), who investigates the power of art and shares her disappointing encounter with the Mona Lisa; and Molly Each, who shares the experience of her first pregnancy and fear of letting down the little one that she so deeply wished and hoped for.
