Cast Announced For Titan Theatre Company's World Premiere Translation Of MEDEA The award-winning Titan Theatre Company announced today the cast and creative team for its upcoming World Premiere Translation of the Greek Tragedy, MEDEA. MEDEA will play a two-week limited engagement at Titan's home at Queens Theatre.

Performances begin Friday, February 16th and continue through February 25th.

Titan's original translation and adaptation by Nefeli Vasiliadou and Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, is an innovative retelling of Euripides' tale of a wife's calculated and unspeakable revenge against her unfaithful husband.

"MEDEA has caused a lot of excitement around here." said Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. "It is a show that even as early as last year we wouldn't have considered doing. However, our company members & audiences have proven ready to take on a challenge. A world premiere translation of a play written originally written in 431 BC, fits that perfectly."

The production is placed in the company's new "winter slot", a show that to was added to Titan's standard 3 show season to meet the company's high demand for programming.

The predominantly female production stars Titan Resident Company Member Leah Gabriel in the Title Role, and features Broadway Veteran Ellen Fiske as The Nurse. The cast is rounded out by Titan Resident Company members Tristan Colton as Jason, Alyssa Van Gorder as Aegeus, Titan Journeymen Members Lindsay Nance as Glauce, Rachel Schmeling as The Nanny, and Guest Artist Molly Thomas as Creon. Jake Lesh, Sara Ornelas, and Analiese Puzon will understudy.

Banovez will Direct, wth Lighting Design by Katy Atwell, Costume Design by Leah Smith, Projection Design by Chris Kateff, Sound Design by Jessica Mcllquham, and Fight Direction by Molly Thomas. Kris Murphy is the Production Stage Manager.
