Mitch Rowland has celebrated indie music retailers with the physical 7” vinyl release of two brand new tracks, “Carry On With Your Tea / Nothing Is True.” Now, he is releasing both of those tracks digitally. GRAMMY-winning songwriter Rowland released his critically acclaimed debut album, Come June, via Erskine Records/Giant Music at the end of 2023. Listen to the new tracks here!

Brian Tyree Henry, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the revival of Lobby Hero, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Few plot details about the upcoming film have been released, apart from its setting. It is reported to be set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977.

According to reports, Jennifer Aniston will be producing a reimagining of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 for 20th Century Studios. Aniston will be producing through her production company Echo Films, alongside co-founder Kristin Hahn. The script for the reimagining is being written by Diablo Cody, who previously scripted Juno, Jennifer's Body and the recent horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein.

Tamika Lawrence joined Sherri Shepherd on Friday to perform The Power of Love from the new musical The Heart of Rock and Roll on the show. She was joined by Huey Lewis who, after the performance, highlighted his admiration for Lawrence and the cast. See the special performance here!

Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes are all in talks to star in the 28 Years Later, which serves as a sequel to the 2002 Boyle horror flick. Boyle is returning to direct, which features a script by Alex Garland who also penned the original. At this time, it is unknown who the three actors will play in the film, which is said to be the first of a new trilogy.

Writer Jordan Allen-Dutton has just joined the upcoming Richard Simmons biopic, according to reports. Allen-Dutton's previous credits include the The Bomb-itty of Errors, a hip-hop add-rap-tation of Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, which became a smash Off-Broadway hit. The film will star Pauly Shore as the fitness guru, previously playing Simmons in a short film titled The Court Jester.

The Bacon Brothers, featuring Michael and Kevin Bacon, unveil their new album, Ballad Of The Brothers. The siblings have spent the best of three decades creating their own mix of folk, rock, soul, and country music. They call that diverse sound 'forosoco,' it's taken them worldwide, from headlining gigs in Japan and Europe to American performances at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, and Gruene Hall. Allison Williams is set to executive produce and star alongside Charlie Day in the murder mystery Kill Me, directed and written by Peter Warren. In the film Jimmy wakes up in a bathtub after having tried to kill himself. Or, at least, that's what it looks like to his friends and family. Jimmy is pretty sure he didn't do it...Maybe. Together with Margot, the 911 operator who took his call, Jimmy sets out on a mission to solve a vitally important whodunit.

Following its premiere at the Tribeca Festival last June, The Good Half, starring Nick Jonas, will be hitting theaters this July. According to reports, the film has been acquired by Utopia and, in partnership with Fathom Events, a limited release will include 900 North American theaters on July 23 and 25. Attendees will also get to see a virtual Q&A with Jonas and director Robert Schwartzman. A wide release is expected later in the year.

According to multiple reports, Steve Carell has closed a deal which would reunite him with Tina Fey in a television remake of The Four Seasons from Netflix. The Office alum will star in the remake of Alan Alda's 1981 feature, who will star alongside Tina Fey in the series. Fey co-created the adaptation with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield, whom she worked with on 30 Rock. The film is set to go into production later this year.

STARZ continues to round out the cast for “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” announcing today additional casting for several roles in the highly anticipated prequel series. Several newcomers are actors with extensive stage backgrounds. The series will center on two parallel love stories set in two different time periods, with Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in WWI England. Production on the 10-episode season is underway in Scotland.

According to a new report, actress Thandiwe Newton will be returning to the small screen in an unconfirmed role in the second season of Tim Burton's Netflix series Wednesday. She joins a cast that includes Jenna Oretega as Wednesday Addams, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, and more.
