Singer Michael Bublé Is Back To Thrill Australia  Across the decades, it's been home to superstars of the world! Celebrate the FINAL closing show of Allianz Stadium with Michael Bublé and Special Guests. Global superstar Michael Bublé will thrill Australian audiences after a long absence from performing during a one-off special event on Friday 5 October to mark the closure of Sydney's Allianz Stadium, which will be closed for three years for refurbishment and reconstruction.

It's the first time Bublé has returned to Australia since his hugely successful, record-breaking 2014 tour.

Tickets to this very special one-night-only event go on sale on Friday 3 August. A Telstra Thanks pre-sale, just for Telstra customers, starts on Monday 30 July. Go to telstra.com/michaelbuble for on sale times and further details.

Paul Dainty, President and CEO of TEG DAINTY said the Canadian superstar is adored by Australian audiences and the company is delighted to present this blockbuster show.

"Michael has toured Australia many times and we know Australians will be thrilled to have an opportunity to welcome him back again, particularly after his recent absence from the stage," Mr. Dainty said.

Beginning with a passion for singing and interpreting great standards from the American Songbook, Buble's unprecedented musical course began with the release of his self-titled Top 10 album and a Canadian Juno Award for "Best New Artist". Bublé has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and has had multiple #1 albums in Australia. His album "Christmas" has been to the top of the charts 7 years in a row and has sold over 1 million records in this country.

Michael Bublé has toured the globe many times; has won 4 Grammy Awards, 13 Juno Awards, has released 3 DVD's and starred in 5 NBC Holiday Specials.

In early July, after a near 3 year layoff, during which he focused on his sons successful battle with cancer - he took the stage in Dublin's Croke Park in front of 65,000 fans to unanimous rave reviews. The next weekend he headlined British Summer Time in London's Hyde Park where more than 50,000 fans stood in the rain and sang along with the Canadian Superstar.

Michael believes that the layoff has given him a new perspective on his life and that he has channeled the love and pain into an 8th studio album, due out later this year.

"This perspective has cost a lot but it has allowed me to truly rekindle a romance with music," Bublé said. "And I can't wait to get to Australia and perform." Don't miss the chance to welcome Michael Bublé, with full band, back to the Australian stage.

Tickets to this special, history making event go on sale on Friday 3 August from ticketek.com.au.
