Lisa Dawn Miller Debuts Two Powerful Holidays Songs 'A Christmas Truce' & 'A New Year'

Singer/songwriter/producer Lisa Dawn Miller -the daughter of the late hit Motown songwriter Ron Miller- debuts two new holiday tracks this season entitled, "A Christmas Truce" and "A New Year."

Available on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Spotify, "A Christmas Truce" is about the historical Christmas Truce of 1914 during World War I, when soldiers put down their weapons, crossed enemy lines and stopped fighting for one day to share Christmas together.

"I was very inspired when my partner, Mark Matson, suggested that we write a song about the Christmas Truce of 1914. The story of love and humanity is a timeless one," Lisa said. "To think that during the darkest days, soldiers found peace and solace in one moment of love and humanity. There are so many lessons for us all. I was compelled to write about it," she continued.

"A New Year" is an empowering song about starting the New Year, being ready to take on new challenges and realizing your dreams. It is also available on iTunes, Amazon,YouTube and Spotify.

"A new year can begin on any day of the year for those who want to start anew. My partner and I saw a show called, "My 600-Lb. Life," about morbidly obese people struggling to lose weight to save their lives. Their long journeys are documented for a year as they work with expert, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan," Miller said. "My partner and I think Dr. 'Now' is a rock star! He inspires and helps people and that inspired us to write a song about new beginnings!"

Co-star of the hit musical, "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show," Lisa also recently released "We'll Always Have Christmas Eve," on iTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Spotify, as well as "A Miracle," dedicated to her niece who has autism. "A Miracle" is also available oniTunes, Amazon, YouTube and Spotify. All tracks are written by Lisa and her songwriting/producing partner, Mark Matson for The Colossal Nerve, Inc.

Lisa's late father wrote classics such as, "For Once in My Life," "Touch Me in the Morning," "A Place in the Sun," "Heaven Help Us All," "If I Could," "I've Never Been to Me" and "Someday at Christmas."

Her husband, Sandy Hackett, stars in the long-running hit musical "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show" as Joey Bishop. Sandy is the son of legendary comedian, Buddy Hackett.

A fast-emerging songwriter, Lisa also recently released several powerful songs including "It's Time," "This is the Moment" and "Today," also available on iTunes, Amazon andSpotify.

She and Matson wrote and produced "On and On and On," the new pop/dance release for Lisa's daughter, 11-year-old singer/dancer, Ashleigh Hackett, along with "You and I" and "Rise" for her son, 17-year-old actor/singer, Oliver Richman.

Last year, the three multi-talented singers released "Everyone's a Kid at Christmas Time" the Stevie Wonder classic written by Lisa's parents, Ron Miller and Aurora Miller.

Lisa made her debut as a singer-songwriter in 2016 with her original EPs 'Hello You,' and 'My Turn Begins Today.'"

She has many other projects in the pipeline, including the launch of two new companies, The Colossal Nerve, Inc. and The Ron Miller Songbook Publishing Company, LLC. Her newly announced original musical comedy, "Andropausal Man," a show about four men going through the change of life, is slated to hit the stage in 2018.

"Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show" has begun its annual Broadway tour and is once again expected to continue performances at numerous performing arts centers across the nation in 2018.
