Cleveland Comedy Festival Shows Announced At Playhouse Square The 11th annual Cleveland Comedy Festival is back to supply audiences with plenty of laughs from 50-plus comedians from throughout the U.S. and Canada, with Playhouse Square once again serving as home base. "Eclectic would be the word for this year's festival," said Cleveland Comedy Festival Co-director John Wellington. "There are a number of great shows for every type of comedy fan."

  • FREE comedy shows will be offered at 5 pm on Nov. 14, 15 & 16 at Playhouse Square's Kennedy's Theatre.
  • $10 Spotlight Showcase shows feature the funniest of the up-and-coming comedians from all over the US & Canada...also at Kennedy's Theatre at 7:30 pm on Wed. & Thurs., Nov. 14 & 15, and at 7:30 & 9:30 pm on Fri., Nov. 16.
  • Women and Wine...a stand-up comedy show by women for women in Kennedy's Sat., Nov. 17 at 5 pm. Enjoy some of the top female festival comics from across the country. The $25 ticket price includes two glasses of Playhouse Squares featured red and white wines.
  • One of the highlights will include a Homecoming show set for 8 p,. Sat., Nov. 17 at the Hanna Theatre featuring Canton native Kate Quigley of "The Office," "The Megan Mullally" and "Undercover" on Playboy TV fame. Joining her will be Shaker Heights native Rick Glassman who starred on "Undateable" and the film "A Futile and Stupid Gesture" as Harold Ramis, which just debuted at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.   • Sat., Nov. 17 at 7:30 pm features the Best Improv and Sketch Comedy in Kennedy's. ($10.00)
  • Best of the Fest Nov. 17 at 9:30 pm in Kennedy's features the Cleveland Comedy Festival judges' favorite performers from the CCF Spotlight Showcases as they perform for comedy fans and industry professionals. ($10.00)
  • Class Clown Show at 1pm on Sun., Nov. 18 in Kennedy's will offer up a line-up of young up-and- coming comics performing "clean" sets. ($10.00)
  • Clean comedy, in fact, is sometimes a lost art, but a festival of comedians who excel at bringing the laughs while keeping their act clean will also perform the Clean Comedy Show at Kennedy's Sun., Nov. 18 at 4 pm. ($10.00)
