Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Holiday Shows Come to The Orleans in December

The Orleans Hotel and Casino will bring celebrated entertainment to The Orleans Showroom in December, including exclusive previews of the documentary "Feek's Vision," the holiday shows Home for Christmas with Lani Misalucha and "Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas," as well as swing revival group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. December entertainment will also feature free live entertainment at Bourbon Street Lounge as well as free rodeo week events throughout the month.

Families can enjoy the rodeo action at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and 9-15 in The Orleans Showroom and Dec. 8 in the Honky Tonk Saloon, located near Bailiwick All American Pub + Eatery. Food and drink specials will be available at the free events and children are welcome to accompany their parents.

Feek's Vision

Sunday, December 9, Wednesday, Dec. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 13

During rodeo week, The Orleans will host free and exclusive previews of "Feek's Vision" on Dec. 9, 12 and 13. The documentary by Ken Howie shares the revolutionary story of Chandler Earl "Feek" Tooke and his founding of one of rodeo's most influential and champion-producing horse bloodlines. "Feek's Vision" is complete with stories told by rodeo greats, including Larry Mahan, Ty Murray, Deb Copenhaver, Mel Potter and Harry Vold.

Home for Christmas with Lani Misalucha

Born into a musical family with opera singers as parents, Lani Misalucha grew up immersed in music and song. Although she never planned to be a singer, Misalucha's cascading soprano voice and love for singing led her to pursue a career as a professional vocalist.

Misalucha is best-known for her versatile voice and stylings as she can shift from singing ballads to pop, rock, jazz and opera genres. Her singing voice has been compared to those of some of music history's most iconic singers, including Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Barbara Streisand.

Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas

"Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas" starring songstress Michelle Berting Brett pays tribute to classic Carpenters' Christmas recordings with an equal complement of their biggest pop music hits. Richard and Karen Carpenter of the musical duo Carpenter's Christmas is best-known for their two classic Christmas albums as well as two Christmas-themed television specials. Their holiday music is played every season and their Christmas records still top the "Favorite Holiday Album" lists each year.

Berting Brett takes center stage with her seven-piece Nashville band directed by Harry Sharpe, bringing holiday spirit to the family-friendly show. Audiences will enjoy fascinating stories and singing-along to Carpenters' hits like "Close to You," "Rainy Days and Mondays," "We've Only Just Begun" and all the Carpenters' Christmas favorites.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the swing revival group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's arrival to the music scene. Bringing their signature Rat Pack' sound, the band has continued to impress fans of all ages with their seamless blends of classic '40s and '50s brass with post-modern pop/rock undertones.

Named after an autograph by blues guitar legend Albert Collins, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy arrived on the music scene in 1993 with a legendary residency at the Brown Derby Nightclub in Los Angeles. The group skyrocketed to fame after featuring its songs "You & Me & the Bottle Make 3 Tonight (Baby)" and "Go Daddy-O" in the 1996 indie film "Swingers," starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's music has been featured in countless films and television shows, including "Dancing with the Stars" and "Despicable Me." Selling out venues like the Lincoln Center and performing in largely televised events such as the Super Bowl xxIII halftime show and The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy continues to perform for audiences all over the world.

Buckin' Bash

Las Vegas' best rodeo party after dark since 2010 has been re-branded to the Buckin' Bash. Same great bands, brews and two-stepping as always but with a new host, Justin Rumford! Rumford will welcome a different rodeo celebrity for a "Toast of the Night" every evening. The Buckin' Bash will be complete with live country music, two-step dancing and drink specials. National Finals Tonight Show

Now in its 12th year, the award-winning National Finals Tonight Show will return to The Orleans at 10:30 p.m., Dec. 6-15. Happening for the first time inside the Honky Tonk Saloon, the show will feature rodeo highlights, interviews, and question and answer sessions with the world's leading cowboys and cowgirls.

The wrap-up of each day's WNFR events will be hosted by eight-time World Champion and Hall of Fame Cowboy Don Gay; World Champion Tie-Down Roper and all-around cowboy Joe Beaver; and TV host Dan Miller. There will be special appearances by legendary WNFR rodeo announcers and Boyd Gaming Rodeo Ambassadors Bob Tallman, Roger Mooney and many others.

Admission is free and prizes will be given away nightly.
