Amas Musical Theatre To Present WITH LOVE, MARILYN One-Night Only Amas Musical Theatre in celebration of its 50th season, will present With Love, Marilyn, a one-woman musical tribute to Marilyn Monroe, one of the most iconic romantic ingenues written by and starring Erin Sullivan. Co-written and directed by Stephanie Rosenberg, this one-night only special cabaret event, part of the "Dare to Be Different" series, will take place on Saturday, December 1 at 8:00pm at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street - 10th Avenue & 53rd Street). In this intimate behind-the-scenes evening, we are transported back in time to that 'what if' dress rehearsal, as Marilyn Monroe prepares to entertain you. Audiences will fall in love all over again with Marilyn, watching Sullivan's tribute portrayal of the famed sex goddess you know and love, performing classic songs such as "I Wanna Be Loved By You," "My Heart Belongs To Daddy," and "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," accompanied by a three-piece band led by Musical Director Garrett Taylor with newly orchestrated arrangements by one of Broadway's finest musical directors Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages, Tommy).

BIOS

Erin Sullivan (Co-Author/Marilyn Monroe) built her career playing the favorite blonde bombshells of the musical theatre repertoire. Most recently she developed and originated the role of Marilyn Monroe in a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright Mark Medoff Marilee and Baby Lamb: The Assassination of an American Goddess, which premiered at the Rio Theatre in Las Cruces, NM. Sullivan performed around the country in the National Tours of Hairspray as Amber Von Tussle in over 300 performances, as Frenchy in Grease and in The Wedding Singer and Shrek. She recently appeared in the developmental lab of a new musical Hazel: A Maid in America, directed by Lucie Arnaz and choreographed by Chet Walker. In 2014, she released her first book "Theatrical Baggage: A manual, workbook, and bible on how to survive a National Tour and Other Gigs." In the book, she imparts her expertise regarding life on the road to the actors of the next generation and is available on Amazon.com and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts bookstore. Sullivan attended the esteemed American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Stephanie Rosenberg (Director/Co-Author) is a Tony nominated producer. Co-producer: MoulinRouge, Anastasia, On the Town, Matilda. Album Executive Producer: The Color Purple (Grammy winner). She is the founder of The Empress Productions, LLC. Stephanie has a B.F.A. in Theater from Adelphi University and is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) now in its 50th year of continuous operation is New York City's award-winning pioneer in diversity and multi-ethnic casting in the performing arts since 1968.
