CMT has given the green light to DOG (Working Title), a new unscripted series that showcases Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth Chapman's journey into the American heartland to help fellow bail bondsmen and bounty hunters struggling with their business of catching fugitives on the lam. CMT has ordered ten, one-hour episodes of the series from Ben Silverman's multimedia entertainment studio Electus. Dog and Beth will star in and executive-produce the series which is set to begin production in early 2013 and will premiere Spring/Summer 2013 on CMT.

DOG showcases the next chapter in the lives of Dog the Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth as they concentrate more on the bail industry as a whole, helping other mom and pop bail bond agencies that are facing extinction due to bad legislation, untrained or ineffective bounty hunters or just plain bad decisions. Dog and Beth get back on the front lines by launching a national education & fugitive finding mission as they crisscross the United States training bounty hunters while looking for the most cunning, most notorious and the most dangerous fugitives on the streets today. In this action-packed, adrenaline-fueled adventure, many obstacles await them as Dog and Beth set out to help these bail bondsmen families not only turn their failing businesses around, but more importantly help train them in a very dangerous job that Dog himself has made look deceptively easy.

"This series is a GAME CHANGEr for CMT," said Jayson Dinsmore, EVP, Development and Programming CMT. "We were aggressive in our pursuit of a show featuring Dog and Beth, one of the most bankable teams in television history. We couldn't be happier to partner with Electus and Dog and Beth as they move forward on the next chapter."

"Dog and Beth are not only great television characters, they are the best bounty hunters in the world, and this show is a natural evolution of their life story," said Chris Grant, CEO of Electus. "Electus is thrilled to be partnering with them and with CMT to deliver the next stage of Dog and Beth's adventure.

DOG was created Duane and Beth Chapman through their Production Company Entertainment By Bonnie and Clyde. The series is executive-produced by Electus (Ben Silverman, Chris Grant and Jimmy Fox) and CMT's Jayson Dinsmore. Amy Weiss of Brillstein Entertainment Partners, which represents Dog & Beth Chapman, engineered the production deal with Chris Grant of Electus.
