Gary Becks Chapbook 'Bryant Park Poems' Released Gary Becks Chapbook 'Bryant Park Poems' Released
by Stephi Wild on August 12, 2021

'Bryant Park is at 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in New York City that was first a potters field, then a reservoir with 50 foot walls, a Union Army encampment and finally a jewel of a park in 1934. By the 1970's it had become a drug infested, dangerous place. My theatre company presented a week long celebration with Broadway plays, music and more to try to draw attention to its needing help. Finally in the 90's a corporation was formed that renewed the park and it's now again a little jewel. I played chess in the park for many years and the poems were written in the park.'

In I SQUEEZED REALLY HARD., Anthony Misiano serves up a series of painfully funny, progressively more shocking true stories about his turbulent childhood and the modern broken home. A Dickensian journey as raw as it is intangibly universal, Misiano's fearless, high-energy storytelling takes us down an engrossing autobiographical road that makes us laugh at our darkest moments, and question what exactly we define as family. A bold, unapologetic comedy set in a simpler, more aggressive time known commonly as: The 90's.

by Cindy Marcolina on August 12, 2021

“Perception is a choice!” Sam concludes in his pedantic and condescending tirade about ghosts and “the unexplainable”. Frustratingly, the remarks of such an insolent, smart, and snobbish man keep ringing true to the logical crowd. It’s quite difficult to stage a properly frightening show in a theatre, and that’s perhaps the reason behind Danny Robins’s brand new play 2:22 - A Ghost Story being referred to as a “supernatural thriller” rather than any other horror-related genre.
