The exclusive premiere of the latest music video from RCA Records' multi-platinum recording artist Gavin DeGraw takes place today, Monday, December 3rd via Vevo.com. Check it out below!

The hit single "Soldier" is the third single off of his fourth studio album "Sweeter," and has been quickly making its way up the charts, following suit with successful singles "Sweeter," "Not Over You," "In Love with a Girl," "I Don't Want to Be," and "Chariot." Written by DeGraw and produced by Butch Walker, "Soldier" is a song that jumped out at director Carl Diebold the first time he heard it.

"I always look for songs and projects that allow me to tell a story and to inspire people to move and do something," Diebold says. "When I first heard "Soldier," I could see the potential for weaving several stories into an epic video. Fortunately the song was released as a single, and Gavin shared my vision."

DeGraw echoes those sentiments. "It was time for me in my career to release a song that had a sentiment like this one… It's something that people from different backgrounds, with a lot of different stories can relate to. It's about love and sacrifice - stepping up to the plate when no one else does. I think people really understand that - and those stories and emotions are what make this song and video so powerful."

"Soldier" originally gained widespread recognition when it was used on the finale episode of "One Tree Hill" earlier this year. In September it was released by RCA as the third single from Gavin's latest album. It has since been steadily climbing the pop charts. This past Friday, Gavin performed the single and gave a sneak preview of the video on VH1's Big Morning Buzz.
