World renowned crooner Tony Bennett teams up with chart-topping pop superstar Lady Gaga for a new duets album titled CHEEK TO CHEEK containing multiple American Songbook standards and this week Bennett revealed that he intends to record a follow-up showcasing Cole Porter's classic score for the stage musical RED, HOT & BLUE.

Bennett shared, "When I told Lady Gaga, I said, 'If ['Cheek To Cheek'] goes well, we could do a follow-up with Cole Porter, 'Red, Hot & Blue.' She said, 'Why wait? Let's do it right away.' So we're gonna do two albums in a row with her. We'll have to try and do that as soon as possible, just as a follow-up for a second album."

Bennett continued, "She's a sensational jazz singer... She's always tried to tell everybody she really sings good jazz, and this is going to be the first time that people realize she's quite the singer. They're going to be fascinated how well she sings and improvises jazz."

As for imparting the Great American Songbook to the next generation, Bennett concludes, "[Gaga] has that audience in the palm of her hand... and by doing this with her it'll go right to those little kids. They'll grow up listening to this music. It's great music, and it's never going to become dated. It's never going to become old fashioned. It's very intelligent music that everybody, and especially these young people, need to know and appreciate."

Of note, RED, HOT & BLUE premiered in 1936 and contains such Porter standards as "It's De-Lovely", "Down In The Depths On The 90th Floor", "What A Great Pair We'll Be" and more, while a celebrity charity compilation of the same name was released in 1990 featuring numerous Porter standards such as "In The Still Of The Night", "Begin The Beguine", "From This Moment On", among others.

Also, Gaga recently impressed with a short clip of herself onstage singing the incomparable Richard Rodgers/Lorenz Hart staple "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" from PAL JOEY in a new clip now available to view, as well.

Gaga wrote, "Hey Tony Bennett! Our song 'Anything Goes' is #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts for Digital Songs! I'm so proud and I love you darling! Everyday that goes by I get more and more excited for Tony and I's album. It comes out SEPT 23 that is soon! Cheek to Cheek".
