Crafty Saturdays at Bank Park

Join us at the Pavilion in Bank Park for free family crafts for kids aged 3-12 and their grown-ups. One Saturday every month we will be delivering craft sessions at Bank Park, making a different crafty creation to take home. November's event, on Saturday 5 will focus on firework artwork. The sessions are free and open to children of all abilities, aged 3-12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Keep the Home Fires Burning

Our second exhibition about Warrington in the Great War of 1914-1918 looks at life on the Home Front. As Warrington's men were away fighting in the trenches of the Western Front or other theatres of war find out what life was like back home. Munitions girls, nurses, aid workers, conscientious objectors and the women left behind fighting on the kitchen front; all had their part to play in the story of these tumultuous years.

Literally Murals

What happens when you cross a housebound resident with a street artist? Find out in this exhibition where Warrington's housebound residents are given the opportunity to tell their stories in a unique and exciting way. By working with a street artist specialising in typography, Warrington's housebound residents will be able to communicate their thoughts, ideas and emotions to the museum's visitors using the striking medium of graffiti. The exhibition will also include a section dedicated to the artist explaining the process and techniques used as well as the historical origins of typographical street art.
