NBC's 'TALENT', HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT Dominate Tuesday Night in Viewers

NBC has dominated the primetime ratings week of Sept. 4-10 in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures, claiming four of the top six primetime entertainment shows of the week on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and four of the top four in total viewers. According to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research, "Sunday Night Football" and "Thursday Night Football" rank #1-2 respectively on the broadcast networks for the week in both 18-49 and total viewers, with Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" ranking #4 and 6 in 18-49 and #3 and 4 in total viewers. Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

NBC took six of seven nights of the week in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, leading every night except Saturday.

NBC's 3.2 rating in 18-49 and 10.5 million viewers for the week in adults 18-49 are highs for any network since SUPER BOWL week last Jan. 30-Feb. 5, when FOX averaged a 9.8 in 18-49 and 29.7 million viewers overall. It's also the highest-rated week for NBC in the past year (since Sept. 5-11, 2016, 3.3) and most-watched week for NBC in nine months (since Dec. 5-11, 2016, 10.6 million).

This is NBC's 11th win in the last 12 weeks in 18-49, while the network has taken 10 of 12 in total viewers. Counting entertainment programming only (excluding live news and sports) this is the 16th straight week NBC has finished as the #1 network in 18-49 and 25-54. In total viewers, NBC has won 15 of the last 16 weeks in entertainment-program ratings.

Joining NBC Sports' coverage of Sunday and Thursday NFL football and Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" among the week's top 20 primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX were Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (#10), Wednesday's 9 p.m. "Marlon" (tied for #14), Saturday's NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL (tied for #16) and Tuesday's "Hollywood Game Night" (tied for #20).

Season to date, NBC ranks #1 in adults 18-49, with a +27% margin over ABC, CBS and FOX (1.9 vs. 1.5 each). NBC also ranks #1 for the season among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in every other key demographic (including a tie for #1 in men 18-34).

Counting only entertainment programs season to date (excluding live news and sports), NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is also #1 or tied for #1 in every other key demographic.
