An offbeat, indie gem that experiments with different layers of sound, combining textures of indie rock, electronica, jazz and rnb, the duo arrive today with the surreal visuals via Pigeons and Planes. The song, while playful and colorful, harks at an understated emotional glamour, with captivating instrumentals that are the perfect vehicle for the wistful vocals. Watch video here
"'Drumsolo' is one of our favourite tracks of the new album," the band say of the track. "On the one hand, it's very complex (at one point it doesn't even make sense 'music theoretically'). But, on the other hand, the melody is very catchy so you don't notice its quirkiness, that's what we always wanted our tracks to be like: different layers to discover depending on the listener's mood." "Drumsolo" follows the success of their previous singles, "Oh Wow" and "Zoo", which have received vast support from tastemakers such as Pigeons and Planes, Wonderland Magazine, Clash magazine, Complex, Konbini, The 405, Consequence of Sound, BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart, BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne, Virgin Radio Playlist amongst others. "Zoo" was named by Pigeons and Planes as one of the Top Songs of 2017. The duo, comprised of Sophie Lindinger and Marco Kleebauer, have been riding a wave of success - which seemingly came to life of its own accord. Their debut album Spanish Disco was the catalyst - creating a cause and effect whirlwind of huge festival dates and radio play, as well as television and film performances. Hit single "Superego" quickly racked up nearly 3 million streams on Spotify.
