GLEE's Kevin McHale Launches New App Available Today on App Store

Available exclusively on the App Store today, +ONE was created by GLEE star Kevin McHale and friends that grew tired of struggling to make plans and get together. The app, which is being launched at TechCrunch DISRUPT SF, allows users to create events in as little as 30 seconds to invite their friends to outings such as watching a movie, having dinner, or even going on an epic road trip.

With +ONE, users can create events by entering a private address or choosing a location powered by Foursquare, inviting friends directly from the contact list on their phones, and selecting the date and time of the event. Event hosts have the option to add an "RSVP by" date, post event notes and updates, add an entry fee (if applicable), and create a "Vote" feature that allows guests to voice their opinion on details such as where to go. Guests are able to chat with other guests invited to the same event with limited push notifications and have the option to invite other friends to the same event if the host has set the event to "public." +ONE makes it easier for friends to make plans and get together by providing a more connected and pleasant experience that eliminates the frustration and confusion of making plans over text messaging and multiple apps. Kevin McHale is best known as the lovable wheelchair-bound Artie Abrams in FOX's award winning show Glee. He also stars in the film Boychoir, with a legendary cast that includes Dustin Hoffman and Kathy Bates. Kevin can next be seen in the ABC miniseries When We Rise where he portrays Bobbi Campbell, an early AIDS activist during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement. His other television credits include hosting the UK comedy panel show Virtually Famous, guest starring on the revival of Whose Line is it Anyway?, True Blood and The Office.

Born in Plano, Texas, Kevin moved to Los Angeles as a young teenager to pursue his career in acting, singing and dancing. He is actively involved in charity work. The two closest to his heart are working with people with disabilities and The Trevor Project (the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention). In his spare time Kevin writes music and is currently developing several original television projects.
