First Look At Rose Byrne In ANNIE Remake! Foxx & More On Set; Plus, Video FootageThe very first look at popular genre-hopping small screen and big screen star Rose Byrne on the set of the new movie musical remake of ANNIE is now available, featuring the comely actress shooting a scene also involving the film's pseudo Daddy Warbucks, Jamie Foxx.

Byrne stuns in a bright orange and eggplant-colored ensemble, showing off a shoulder-length blonde-tinged hairstyle.

Shooting on location in New York, Byrne is seen sharing a dialogue scene with Foxx alongside a luxury automobile being repaired.

Of note, Byrne portrays the helpful and good-hearted character of Grace Farrell in the film, the most trusted assistant of Foxx's character, named Benjamin Stacks in this new version of the classic comic and musical property.

The role of Grace was previously played by Ann Reinking and Audra McDonald in the previous film adaptations of ANNIE.

Additionally, a short video clip of Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhane Wallis has leaked showing the actors in action, as well.

Plus, check out last week's BroadwayWorld article all about the ongoing filming of ANNIE in NYC available here, as well as a first look at the logo and orphans, available here.

ANNIE is directed by Will Gluck from a script by Emma Thompson and Aline Brosh McKenna, starring Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie, Jamie Foxx as Benjamin Stacks (aka Daddy Warbucks), Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan along with Rose Byrne as Grace Farrell and Bobby Cannavale in a new role.

The starry roster of producers for the film include Will Smith and Jay Z, who also serves as music supervisor. Jay Z famously had a Top Ten hit with a rap version of the show's famous orphan theme "It's A Hard Knock Life" called "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)".

ANNIE is reportedly a modern-day adaptation of the stage musical, set in contemporary New York City.

Historically, the property was previously first filmed by famed director John Huston in 1982, starring Aileen Quinn as Annie and Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks, as well as lensed by CHICAGO helmer Rob Marshall in 1999, starring Alicia Morton and Victor Garber.

The original stage musical of ANNIE was based on Harold Gray's 1924 comic strip LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE and was directed by Martin Charnin, featuring music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Charnin and a book by Thomas Meehan. Subsequently, the musical has been revived on Broadway twice, with the most recent revival playing at the Palace Theatre, directed by James Lapine and starring Lilla Crawford in the title role.

The big screen remake of ANNIE is set to be released in December 2014.
