Apollo Quad out of Minneapolis MN will be traveling to New York to play the CBGB fest this year! They recently moved to Minneapolis Minnesota from their hometown of Bloomington Indiana to pursue a larger music scene. The live Hip hop band will be playing at Coco 66 October 10th at 8pm and at Don Pedro's on October 11th at 9pm.
This will be the first festival the band has ever played! Breaking into the festival scene is one of the toughest stages in a musicians career and for Apollo Quad it will be no different. After a 19-hour drive (roughly) they will be at a venue in New York called Wicked Willys on the 9th at 8pm as a nice warm up to their CBGB slot on October 11th at 9pm.
In attempts to promote their slots they will be lauching a very vigorous social media campaign and exploring all avenues to promote this show. There are large stepping stones in every band's career and this for Apollo Quad will be a pivital step in their careers that will hopefully launch their careers futher.
Apollo Quad is a live hip hop band out of Minneapolis MN. The group has been making music together for about 3 years now and have independently released two full length albums "Come Alive" and No Gods, No Masters". All four come from different music backgrounds and don't aim for a certain genre or particular sound -- they just try to make great music with no titles or labels. Apollo Quad draws influence from everywhere really, but their main influences are Rage Against the Machine and The Roots. The band has played all over the country, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and has opened for national acts such as Snoop Dogg, Jermih and Bone Thugs N Harmony.
