AMERICA'S GOT TALENT Generates No. 1 & No. 2 Entertainment Rankings of Primetime Week

NBC has finished #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime ratings week of Aug. 28-Sept. 3, led by the #1-2 primetime entertainment shows of the week on those nets in both categories, the Tuesday and Wednesday telecasts of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Excluding sports, NBC led the week in adults 18-49 and total viewers, and also outrated the Big 4 competition in adults, men and women 25-54; men and women 18-49; and men 18-34.

This is the 15th straight week NBC has finished as the #1 network in entertainment programming (excluding live news and sports) in 18-49 and 25-54. In total viewers, NBC has won 14 of the last 15 weeks in entertainment-program ratings.

Excluding sports, the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "Talent" topped the week's list of primetime shows on ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, and on the 18-49 list "Talent" was joined by Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (#7), Wednesday's 9 p.m. "Marlon" (tied for #10), Tuesday's "Hollywood Game Night" (#12), Wednesday's 9:30 "Marlon" (#13), Monday's "Midnight, Texas" (tied for #14) and Friday's encore "Dateline NBC" (tied for #14) among NBC's top shows of the week.

In total viewers, excluding sports, NBC accounted for 7 of the top 20 Big 4 primetime shows: "Talent" (#1-2), "Ninja" (#5), "Marlon," 9 p.m. (#13), "Hollywood Game Night" (#14), "Dateline" (#17) and Friday's "Diana, 7 Days" (#19).

"America's Got Talent" has ranked as the #1 broadcast entertainment program of the week in 18-49 and total viewers every week it's aired this summer.

Season to date, NBC ranks #1 in adults 18-49, with a +20% margin over ABC, CBS and FOX (1.8 vs. 1.5 each). NBC also ranks #1 for the season among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in every other key demographic (including a tie for #1 in men 18-34).

Counting only entertainment programs season to date (excluding live news and sports), NBC ranks #1 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and is also #1 or tied for #1 in every other key demographic.
