The first trailer for Television comedy pilot "Gamer Sesh", about an aspiring pro gamer's struggle to break into the professional gaming circuit, hit the web today. The pilot stars real-life gamer Sesh Evans as a female gamer trying to prove to everyone that she has what it takes to compete at the highest level.

The trailer includes beloved character actor Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, Falling Skies, The Strain) as Sesh's father, who just doesn't understand professional gaming. The trailer also teases cameos from Super Smash Bros Melee gamer McCain LaVelle (MacD) and renowned game programmer Dave Taylor (Doom, Quake).

Professional gaming, or "eSports", has taken the internet by storm in recent years. Top gamers make between $100,000 and $500,000 annually playing titles like League of Legends, StarCraft, and Call of Duty.

Pro Gaming is no stranger for television. Internet-star-turned-TV-producer Freddie Wongrecently landed his hit show Video Game High School on Netflix. Gamer Sesh seeks to take the situation comedy genre one step further by adding the conflict of a female gamer trying to break into a male-dominated arena.

Amidst the controversy of "GamerGate" and the current push in Hollywood for more female-driven content, a comedy starring a female gamer could provide a refreshing look at the battle of the sexes in the gaming world.

Gamer Sesh is produced by Evans alongside Ivan Lovegren & Calix Lewis Reneau. The trailer also features actors Isaac Cheung (Silicon Valley, Southland), Scott Key (The Love Permit), and Roxy Shih (Seahorses).
