Anna Kendrick is featured in the latest issue of V Magazine's Summer Issue, now available on newstands. The 28-year-old will soon be seen co-starring with Meryl Streep in Rob Marshall's big screen musical adaptation of Into the Woods, hitting theaters this Christmas.

In the feature, Kendrick gushes over Streep's singing talent, first put on display in 2008's Mamma Mia!. "I just couldn't get my mind around how she could have been sitting on this level of talent for so long and no one really knew about it," says Kendricks of the Oscar-winning actress. "At a certain point, I had to tone it down."

Of her own blossoming career, Kendrick shares, "It took a while to come out of my shell. I am really happy that the more honest I am, the more people respond to that."
