The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced two special Sneak Preview screening events in March at the Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street) and the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (144 West 65th Street). FSLC will present Oscilloscope Laboratories' REALITY on March 4 and Dreamworks Animation's upcoming 3D film, THE CROODS on March 13. Filmmakers for both films will attend and participate in Q&As.

Screening at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center on Monday, March 4 at 7:00PM, REALITY, from award-winning director Matteo Garrone, is a darkly comic look at Luciano, a charming and affable fishmonger whose unexpected and sudden obsession with being a contestant on the reality show "Big Brother" leads him down a rabbit hole of skewed perceptions and paranoia. So overcome by his dream of being on reality TV, Luciano's own reality begins to spiral out of control, making for one of the most compelling tragicomic character studies since Scorsese's THE KING OF COMEDY.

For his follow-up to the crime drama GOMORRAH, Garrone delivers a darkly comic fairy tale that honors the mavericks of Italian cinema's past while placing a spotlight on the highly contemporary subject of reality television, a form of entertainment that has captured the imagination of a new generation. Starring Aniello Arena, Loredana Simioli and Nando Paone, REALITY (an Oscilloscope Laboratories presentation) opens in New York on March 15. Matteo Garrone will be on hand to participate in a Q&A following the screening.

Screening at the Walter Reade Theater on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:00PM, Film Society will screen Dreamworks Animation's animated comedy, THE CROODS. Directed by Chris Sanders and Kirk De Micco, THE CROODS is a 3D comedy adventure that follows the world's first modern family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always been their home, is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods are rocked by generational clashes and seismic shifts as they discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures -- and their outlook is changed forever. The all-star cast providing the voices include Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener and Cloris Leachman. THE CROODS is due for release March 22, 2013.

Prior to joining forces to bring THE CROODS to the big screen, Sanders previously directed HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON (2010) and LILO AND STITCH (2002) and De Micco wrote and directed SPACE CHIMPS (2008) and co-produced RACING STRIPES (2005). Both will attend the screening and participate in a Q&A.
