NBC's "TODAY" welcomed the legendary Liza Minnelli and the cast of the landmark film Cabaret on this morning's show. "They sent us to Germany to make this extraordinary film," explained the Academy Award winning actress. "And I could hear people whispering, 'How are we going to advertise it? The Nifty, Nazi Follies?" Check out the cast reunion below!

The cast of Cabaret, which also includes Joel Grey, Michael York and Marisa Berenson, reunited to honor the film's 40th anniversary which was released in 1972. The film, which was directed by Bob Fosse, will be released by Warner Bros Home Video on February 5 on Blu-ray and DVD.

Although 2012 was the actual 40th anniversary, restoring Cabaret was a long and painstaking process and could not be ready for home video in 2012. Warner Bros would not release it on Blu-ray until it passed their strident tests.

The film won 8 Academy Awards including Best Actress in a Leading Role for Liza Minnelli and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Joel Grey.
