Chicago's legendary sketch and improv comedy theatre returns to Kingsbury Hall with "The Second City Hits Home" a new show featuring hilarious sketches, songs, and improvisation about Salt Lake City as well as material from the famed Second City archives. This is a must see night of comedy featuring some of Chicago's brightest comedy stars in a special one-night-only engagement.

Second City is performing at Kingsbury Hall on the University of Utah campus tonight, January 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $19.50 to $29.50, with a $5 ticket for U of U students and a $10 ticket for all other students, and are available at www.kingtix.com or by calling 801-581-7100.

As a part of Kingsbury Hall Presents' community engagement program, two workshops have also been scheduled with the touring company prior to their public performance. Second City members will be leading an advanced improv workshop with actors from the Off Broadway Theatre Company, a local improv comedy group, as well as with students in the U of U Department of Theatre.

Doing what they do best, The Second City finds laughs in everything from Salt Lake's history, events and hot button issues to headlines from the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News and mixes these with a generous portion of classic Chicago-style sketch and improv created by some of Second City's most lauded alumni including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more.

The Second City celebrates 55 years of cutting edge satiric revues and continues to deliver the leading voices in comedy while touring the globe.
