The Artistic Home Welcomes New Ensemble Members, Associate Artistic Director

The Artistic Home Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra announced today the addition of five new acting ensemble members and the appointment of Kayla Adams as Associate Artistic Director of the company.

The additions to the ensemble are Devon Carson, Reid Coker, Brookelyn Hébert, Annie Hogan, and John La Flamboy. Kristin Collins, who previously held the position of Associate Artistic Director, remains with the company as an acting ensemble member and Casting Director.

Kayla Adams is a Chicago-based Director and producer who recently completed a directing internship at The Artistic Home. Her work has been seen in Chicago, across the greater Seattle area, and in Mexico City. Kayla holds a degree in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University.

Devon Carson is an actress, director, and singer. Last seen in THE SCHOOL FOR LIES at The Artistic Home, she is thrilled to join the ensemble. Her web series, MENACE, is an all-female written, directed and produced Instagram microseries premiering November 9, 2017. When she's not in the theater or on set, she's singing in dingy punk rock clubs with her band, Airstream Futures.

Reid Coker is an actor and musician. His Artistic Home credits include The Drunkard from THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE, Dubois/Basque from THE SCHOOL FOR LIES, and Rainbow Sprinkles and Greynold from 2015/16's CUT TO THE CHASE one-act play festivals. As a musician/songwriter, Reid performs under his own name and has played in notable groups like Tijuana Hercules, Califone, and Fruit Bats. Reid's film credits include ALL MY FRIENDS ARE FUNERAL SINGERS, an Official Selection of the Sundance Film Festival (2011).

Brookelyn Hebert" height="164" src="https://gallery.mailchimp.com/184f6f79ac41c7c0a854eb191/images/136c69ff-2a6d-4eb7-8162-2b2d0af113cb.jpg" align="right" width="150" /> Originally from Colorado, Brookelyn Hebert has appeared with The Artistic Home in MACBETH as Witch 3/Gentlewoman, and in THE SEAGULL, for which her performance as Nina was nominated for a Jeff Award for Best Supporting Actress. Most recently, she was in THE SCHOOL FOR LIES at AH as the whacky Eliante.

Annie Hogan has been an actress (and occasional director & playwright) in Chicago since 2006. A Chicago native, her acting credits include productions with City Lit Theatre, Broken Road Theatre, Midsommer Flight, The Ruckus, & Oracle Theatre. Her Artistic Home credits include Mary L. in THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE and Celimene in THE SCHOOL FOR LIES.

John La Flamboy is an actor, director, and producer of theatre and film in Chicago. He studied theatre at Southern Illinois University and The Hague School for the Arts in Utrecht, where he focused on movement for the actor. John has appeared on stage at The Artistic Home as Fred Gailey in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET and The Ghost Fancier in BY THE BOG OF CATS.
