Rachel Feinstein, Sean Patton and More to Headline UP Comedy Club This January

UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Avenue, known for bringing top stand-up comedy talent to Chicago, announces a month long series of all-stars: Rachel Feinstein, Jan. 7-9; Chris Redd & Megan Gailey, Jan. 15-17; Kate Berlant & John Early, Jan. 21-23; and Sean Patton, Jan. 28-30. Each show includes a feature stand-up comic and a local emcee that hosts the evening. Each headliner is set to perform Thursday 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 8 p.m. & 10:30 p.m. (with the exception of Chris Redd & Megan Gailey set to perform Friday - Sunday).

RACHEL FEINSTEIN- January 7-9, 2016

Rachel Feinstein is a national touring comedian and actress who is best known for playing with gender and ethnic stereotypes. Her past credits include The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, co-hosting The View on multiple occasions and several appearances on Inside Amy Schumer, Top Five and Trainwreck. Most recently, Feinstein joined the cast of the Steven Soderbergh Amazon series,Red Oaks, in a recurring role.

CHRIS REDD & MEGAN GAILEY- January 15-17, 2016

Chicago native Chris Redd is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He recently wrapped shooting a lead role in the new Lonely Island movie, produced by Judd Apatow. Other credits include a series regular role on the Tina Fey/Fortune Feimster pilot Family Fortune (NBC), a recurring role on Empire (FOX), The Sketch Comedy Pilot (NBC), and Chicago PD(NBC). Redd was a 2015 New Face at Just For Laughs Montreal, is a performer with The Second City Chicago, recently working with its Touring Company, The Second City Network, and understudying the Mainstage.

Megan Gailey recently made her late-night debut on The Conan O'Brien Show, she was a part of the 2015 Just For Laughs New Faces, a finalist in NYC's Laughing Devil Fest, and a featured performer at the Traverse City Winter Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival and Comedy Expo. Gailey is a must-have at top national clubs opening for Brad Garrett, Kevin Nealon, Amy Schumer, Paul Reiser, Jeff Garlin and TJ Miller. In Gailey's new home in NYC, she helps produce and host The Front Room at one of the city's favorite venues, The Knitting Factory.

KATE BERLANT & JOHN EARLY- January 21-23, 2016

Kate Berlant is an actor, stand-up, and writer who was recently profiled by The New York Times as a "magnetic improvisational comic at the forefront of experimental comedy." Berlant was named a New Face at the 2014 Montreal Comedy Festival, and TimeOut LA listed her as "one of the nine comedians to watch in 2015." She was one of Comedy Central's Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2013 and she frequently toured the country, performing in festivals such as SXSW and the New York Comedy Festival. She co-created the video Satellite Space for MOCAtv and was a featured performer on IFC's Comedy Drop. She just wrapped a pilot for Comedy Central and for TruTV and can be seen on season two of Comedy Central's The Meltdown, premiering this summer. Berlant is one of Variety's Ten Comics To Watch for 2015 and has an upcoming Netflix special.

John Early will be appearing soon in Neighbors 2 opposite Dave Franco, as well as the upcoming Netflix original series Love, executive produced by Judd Apatow. Early recently created and starred in a comedy special for Netflix, playing a variety of original characters, and he'll be a guest star in season five of HBO's Girls. His previous credits include Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Broad City, High Maintenance, Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail,30 Rock, and the indie features Fort Tilden (SXSW Grand Jury Prize) and Other People. He also lent his voice to the upcoming HBO animated series Animals and was a writer on season 4 of truTV's Billy on the Street. Early is an Artist in Residence and Comedy Curator at Ars Nova, where he hosts the monthly variety show Showgasm. He was named one of 50 Comedians to Watch in 2015 by Vulture and one of the Top Ten Downtown Cabaret Performers in New York byTime Out New York.

SEAN PATTON- January 28-30, 2016

Sean Patton is a comedian based in Los Angeles and New York, by way of New Orleans. He began doing standup in the Crescent City and has since performed in comedy clubs across the U.S. and Canada. He's also performed at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2011), Just for Laughs Chicago (2013), Just for Laughs Toronto (2013), and at Just for Laughs Montreal (2008, 2010, 2012). He's appeared on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham (2009), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (2010), and twice on Conan (2011, 2013). 2013 also marked the release of his Comedy Central Half Hour. He's also been on @midnight (2014, 2015) and will be on Season 2 of The Meltdown (2015). As for acting, he's appeared on IFC's Maron and Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer.
