Mary Lynn Rajskub (CHLOE FROM "24") will lead an all-star cast of 14 female comedians in "Ladies of Laughter" at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant, Wednesday, August 19 at 8:00 PM.

Hailed as one of the best female showcases ever, both Rajskub and Burbank Comedy Festival producer Barbara Holliday are excited to bring the funniest up-and-coming female comedians to the Media Capital of the World to be appreciated and empowered. Headliner Mary Lynn Rajskub is best known as a co-star of Kiefer Sutherland on the popular television series "24." Rajskub made her debut on television in 1995 as one of the original cast members of "Mr. Show with Bob and David." A skilled guitar player, Rajskub has also been part of the comic duo called 'Girls Guitar Club' and appeared on the NBC's 'Late Friday' TV show. While she has been mainly a television star, Rajskub also offered mesmerizing performances in Mysterious Skin, Sweet Home Alabama, Punch-Drunk Love, Firewall, and Little Miss Sunshine. She has been nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The ladies will be joined by Karen Rontowski (LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, BOB & TOM RADIO SHOW), whose upbeat, optimistic, and clean sense of humor has earned her headlining spots all over the world. Often described as a "New Age Hippie," Rontowski says "there is no time like the present to be living in the past."

Emceeing Ladies of Laughter will be Joleen Lunzer (COMEDY TIME TV, BOSTON W.I.C. FESTIVAL), a pigment-challenged standup comedian whose humor reflects her nice Minnesota upbringing, a love of story telling, and a sardonic wit. Her comedy has been described as grenade with a bow on it. Lunzer has been featured on YouTube´s "Chick Comedy," and as part of Boston´s Women in Comedy Festival. She is also co-creator of the satirical news website "Grown Up Recess."

Additional comedians include Hanna Dickinson (LESBEHONEST, CONSTRUCTION), Dana Eagle (THE LATE LATE SHOW, COMICS UNLEASHED), Rachel Butera (HOWARD STERN SHOW, COMEDY STORE), Joanie Coyote (IMPROVS, COMEDY STORE, LAUGH FACTORY), Kimrie Davis (PEEPLES W/CRAIG ROBINSON, SCANDAL), Melissa Richelle (CHICAGO IMPROV, ZANIES), Chaunte Wayans (WILD 'N OUT, SCARY MOVIE 2), Courtney Drucker (FLAPPERS, COMEDY STORE), Tory Shulman (LAST NIGHT ON TV, TISPY TORY), Cindy Shields (THE COMEDY STORE, LONG BEACH PLAYHOUSE), and Brooklyn Jones (FLAPPERS COMEDY CLUB, THE COMEDY STORE)

Hosted by Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant, the Burbank Comedy Festival is packed with 50 special events including underground showcases, classes, workshops, industry panels, after parties, and live festival podcasts. The 2nd annual festival highlights new and upcoming international talent, off-beat, variety, college, all-female, LGBT, and kids comedy performers.
