Lillias White, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Adam & Arielle Jacobs, Jane Lynch and More Slated for Bay Area Cabaret's 2017-18 Season

Bay Area Cabaret, now in its 14th season of presenting world-renowned Broadway, pop and jazz vocalists, announces the 2017-2018 season of shows at San Francisco's most elegant and historic showroom, the Fairmont Venetian Room (950 Mason Street atop Nob Hill). This marks the seventh consecutive season at the legendary "grand dame" Fairmont San Francisco and the stellar lineup of performers features some making their Bay Area Cabaret debuts, as well as the return of several favorites.

Bay Area Cabaret opens its 2017-2018 Season in the Fairmont San Francisco's legendary Venetian Room, with an all-star line-up honoring the woman who helped make it famous-Ella Fitzgerald. The "First Lady Of Song" performed regularly in the Venetian Room during its hey-day and even celebrated her birthday there.

Commemorating the centennial of Ella's birth year will be Tony and Emmy award-winner LiLlias White (The Life, Fela!, HBO's The Get Down), nine-time Grammy award-winner Janis Siegel (Manhattan Transfer), Grammy nominated Soul/Jazz singer Freda Payne ("Band Of Gold," "Bring the Boys Home"), and San Francisco-based jazz singers Sony Holland and Amanda King, along with musical director Larry Dunlap (Dame Cleo Laine, Sir John Dankworth).

Monday, November 20, 2017 at 7:30 pm. Bay Area siblings and Broadway stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin) and Arielle Jacobs (Wicked, In The Heights)-during Adam's San Francisco run in Aladdin at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets $65/$55 subscribers

Sunday, December 10 at 7 pm. A Swingin' Little Christmas with Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress/singer Jane Lynch (Glee, Hollywood Game Night) with special guests Kate Flannery (The Office), Tim Davis (Glee) and the Tony Guerrero Quintet. Tickets $125/$90 for subscribers.

February 11, 2018 at 5 pm. Loser Songs with Will Roland, currently co-starring in the Tony award-winning hit musical, Dear Evan Hansen. Tickets $55, this is a special offering not on subscription.

February 24, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Platinum-selling jazz vocalist and Grammy nominee Stacey Kent celebrating the release of her 11th studio album, "I Know I Dream." Tickets $65/$55 subscribers.

March 11, 2018 at 5 pm. Tony-nominated Broadway star Liz Callaway (Miss Saigon, Baby, Cats, Anastasia). Tickets $65/$55 subscribers.

Season Finale on April 29, 2018 at 7:30 pm. The highly anticipated return of internationally-acclaimed vocal jazz trio The Puppini Sisters, in their first U.S. appearance since their two sold-out shows with Bay Area Cabaret in 2016. Tickets $65/$55 subscribers.

Having presented cabaret seasons in a variety of elegant showrooms, Bay Area Cabaret found a permanent home in 2010 when it was invited to reopen the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room, which had been dark as an entertainment venue for over 21 years. Following a gala opening (featuring Oscar, Grammy, Tony, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch), the company has gone on to present such musical legends as Barbara Cook, Chita Rivera, Judy Collins, Stephen Schwartz, Elaine Paige, Tommy Tune, Leslie Uggams, and the Bay Area Teen Idol competition (first year winner, Bobby Conte is currently starring on Broadway in Robert DeNiro and Chaz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale: The Musical). Having been awarded exclusive music booking rights to the Venetian Room, Bay Area Cabaret has continued to provide top caliber lineups, and now begins its eighth year in residence, to present Bay Area Cabaret's 14th season of music.
