Jenny Collier was told her comedy show was cancelled on the eve of International Women's Day because they had "too many women" on the bill.

She writes in the Independent:

I was visiting my family in Wales when I received the following email: "Hi Jenny, I'm really sorry but the venue have decided they don't want too many women on the bill and unfortunately we need to take you out of this one. We hope that this doesn't cause any inconvenience."

She goes on to say how she was "dumbfounded" by the "blasé tone of the email containing such a bombshell," especially since she has had tons of experience with comedy: So You Think You're Funny 2013 finalist, "Amused Moose Laugh Off 2013" semi-finalist, and BBC Radio Wales panel show What's The Story? just to name a few.

She goes on to talk about how she posted a screenshot of the email on Twitter and Facebook, how her friends responded and more. Read the full article here.
