He's a gifted writer, comedian, television and film star who continues to entertain audiences all over the world with his unique brand of comedic funk! Turn on your TV and comedian JB Smoove seems to be everywhere you look. Over the last few years, he has co-starred opposite Will Arnett on The Millers, has hosted Last Comic Standing, plays a fictionalized version of himself on Real Husbands of Hollywood, 11.

And if his schedule wasn't busy enough, he also voices videogames, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Portal Power; appears in several new movies - including the all-star comedy "Almost Christmas" out in theaters on November - and makes sure to keep his comedy fresh by appearing at select Comedy Clubs and venues around the country. JB Smoove brings a night of stand-up comedy to The Ridgefield Playhouse and Barts Tree Service Comedy Series on Saturday, November 19 - where random thoughts and everyday observations are transformed into hilarity when seen through the eyes of Smoove! Most fans know JB from his breakout role on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as the über-confident, street-smart Leon Black, a member of an African-American family adopted by Larry David and his wife after their residence is decimated by a hurricane. Smoove later acknowledged that the popularity of the role "set fire" to his career and led to roles on the sitcoms Everybody Hates Chris and 'Til Death. Make it a fun night out with dinner and a show - visit Bareburger (38 Danbury Road, Ridgefield) and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine or draft beer with your entree when you show your ticket! Media sponsor for the show is 94.3fm WYBC.

Smoove began his career in 1999 with a recurring role on MTV's "The Lyricist Lounge Show," as well as featured guest spots on "The Chris Rock Show" and "Premium Blend." He was a cast member on "Cedric the Entertainer Presents" and also served as a writer on "Saturday Night Live," which earned him a Writers Guild Award in 2007 for Best Comedy/Variety Series. In the standup and acting worlds, Smoove has been featured on "Tough Crowd," "Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza," "Saturday Night Live" sketches, recurring spots on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "'Til Death." He hosted "Russell Simmons Presents: The Ruckus," shot his own one-hour stand-up special and co-starred in the series "Bent."
