DSI Comedy Theater is kicking off the summer with a brand new locally inspired sketch comedy revue. This new show, Local Buzz, Triangle for Squares, will run Friday nights at 7 p.m. at DSI's new space at 462 W. Franklin Street. Tickets cost $10 and are available online at www.dsicomedy.com or by phone at 919-338-8150.

This new show is a hyper-local, fast-paced social media inspired sketch comedy revue that gently pokes fun at living in the Triangle in 2014. Local Buzz, Triangle For Squares, is comedy for people who treat their Facebook News Feed like it's the only news they need. It is full of passionate characters and will feature interactive short-form improv games, inspired by popular social media sites in between sketches. This new show will also mark the return of DSI Witness News.

This new show is directed by Rick Skarbez. Lauren Herget is the head writer. It features Kevin Browning, Joe Dawson, Sarah Eldred, Ashley Melzer, and Hillary Nicholas.

"It's been a great experience to shape the first-ever sketch revue at DSI, particularly since its run coincides with the opening of the theater on Franklin Street: the positive energy surrounding the new space and its programming has been palpable. What's most exciting for me about this show's run is that no two weeks will ever be the same, so the show will always feel fresh--besides putting up new weekly DSI Witness News segments, our writers are constantly creating new sketches that we will introduce throughout the summer," said head writer Lauren Herget.
