Today, Variety has shared a first look at Netflix's highly-anticipated Gilmore GIRLS reboot, airing Friday, November 25th. In the television streaming event, Town selectman Taylor Doose (Michael Winters) decides to stage a musical to celebrate the town's history, which will feature guest appearances from Tony award winning Broadway stars Sutton Foster and Christian Borle. Variety also spoke to Tony Award winning composer Jeanine Tesori (FUN HOME) about her new original music written for the project.

"I got to know Amy and Dan through Sutton. They came on board as producers of "Violet" when we moved from City Center to Broadway, and then we were looking for a project to do together," explains Tesori. "There were certain things that didn't work. And then out of the blue I got a call, and Amy said, "Can I send you some pages? We're doing a musical inside the show," and I thought, "Hell, yeah."

Netflix's highly anticipated streaming event, GILMORE GIRLS: A YEAR IN THE LIFE premieres Friday, November 25th! The four, 90-minute movies, are bringing your favorite Stars Hollow residents back together - Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy) and many more. Sutton Foster will also make a guest appearance.

Picking up life nine years after the originAl Gilmore Girls signed off the air. Amy Sherman-Palladino is the creator and executive producer. Daniel Palladino is also an executive producer. They are both writing and directing the series. Gilmore Girls (WT) on Netflix is produced byDorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
