Join the Ann Arbor Symphony orchestra for the annual Hearts for the Arts fundraiser on Saturday February 13, 2016 at Barton Hills Country Club. This special evening, now in its twentieth year, benefits the extensive community-wide youth educational and artistic programs of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra which are brought to more than 30,000 children in Southeast Michigan.

This year, the honorary chairs of the event will be Aaron and Afa Dworkin, national leaders in the advancement of music

education with strong ties to Ann Arbor. Aaron Dworkin has recently joined the University of Michigan as Dean of the UM School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and also was the founder of Sphinx, an organization providing music education and performance opportunities for African American and Latino musicians. Afa Dworkin was a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and also served on the orchestra committee. Afa is now the president and artistic director of The Sphinx Organization.

The evening begins with an elegant champagne reception, high-value raffle, enticing wine pull, and exclusive silent auction, moves to a gourmet dinner with musical entertainment by the best of our own musicians led by A2SO Conductor and Music Director Arie Lipsky, and concludes with an exciting live auction.

The dollars generated by this important
event go to the A2SO's education and
artistic programs serving over 30,000
youngsters through 50 Ensembles in our
Schools, three Youth Concerts, scores of Instrument Petting Zoos, and 15 free KinderConcerts for toddlers. Music Education programs help children develop critical thinking skills, improve spatial relationship skills and open new doors of opportunity and learning.

The silent and live suctions include items such as a dream weekend of Opera and gourmet food in New York, Sacred Valley week trip to Peru and Machu Pichu, Michigan Marching band game day experience, a football autographed by Jim Haurbaugh, rare bourbon basket featuring a 10-year-old Rip Van Winkle, Zingerman's Cornman Farms experience, Jolly Pumpkin dinner and beer tasting, Schlanderer's Hearts for the Arts White Gold Bracelet, dinner and cocktail parties for group bidding, and dining experiences at Common Grill, West End Grill, Sava's, Café Zola, Felix Bistro & Bar, Red Hawk Bar & Grill, Logan, Pacific Rim and much more!.

Your Hearts for the Arts ticket will include the champagne reception, a delicious dinner, live music and the entertaining live and silent auctions. This event is open to the public by reservation. Please visit our website, a2so.com, or call (734) 994-4801 to make reservations.
