FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present The Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret's Fourth Anniversary Show! We've got an exciting new line-up and a bevy of fantastic acts to present you with on Saturday, September 9 at 10:30pm at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A).

Entering its 5th Year, The Rat features an inspired, curated monthly roster of thrilling music, smart comedy, amazing dance, clever storytelling, sexy burlesque, art and theatrical vaudeville spectacle. That's why it's been called the show that "forever and irrevocably altered the soul of variety in Old Gotham." You'll see an amazing lineup of new talent and the best of our returning nightlife superstars.

Hosted by comedian/storyteller Jillian Thomas (MTV Live, The Toronto Show, The Buzz, Listen Missy, Much Music's Love Court), Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret presents the greatest music, best dancers, smartest comedians, funniest storytellers and just plain unique acts for one thrilling evening of entertainment. Talent from New York City and around the world takes the stage at the legendary UNDER St. Marks in the heart of the East Village for this monthly event.

Starting Saturday, September 9 The Rat welcomes its new Featured Act, the Fishnet Follies! Members of the international Guilty Pleasures Cabaret professional dance troupe bring their customary tap, Frug, "circus" contortion, Bollywood and acclaimed Light Show to the Rat every month!

Actor, comic entertainer and talk-show host Ike was there at the Rat's beginning. And now he brings his clever sophisticated performance to our 4th Anniversary show, after playing The Public Theater with a full run of Ike at Night; Joe's Pub with his night of comedy and music, Nightcap | by Ike; his one-man variety hour Ike Night at Ars Nova; and his Christmas show Ike for the Holidays at Manhattan Inn. TimeOut NY called him "waggishly charming," the Wall Street Journal declared him a "standout downtown performer" and The New York Times praised his "wholly sincere appeal." Come experience Ike!

Expect gorgeous music from audience favorite, Asuza (aka SheShe Dance). This bold beautiful blues belter conquered the famously tough Showtime at The Apollo -- twice! The Rat is delighted to have Azusa back, with all her amazing talent, energy and love.

The Rat would not be complete without our Artist-in-Residence, the funny, brilliant, and strange Bill Chambers. Expect the unexpected, a morbidly funny tale of Gotham apartment hunting and funeral guilt, animating a dead Teddy Ruxpin a la Mary Shelly, arranging a special appearance by "Henry Rollins" or "Neil Diamond," or shock you with his "live murderbag"! He's been seen in the FRIGID Festival, Canuck Cabaret, and punk-rock/hardcore shows all across Eastern Europe.

Who are Moe & Mary? Favorites of Fringe and Frigid theater festivals around the world, Mary Crosbie and Moe Rosen are the Canadian husband-and-wife team often called a "dark postmodern Burns and Allen": Hilarious, silly, horrifying and loveable, this vaudevillian duo will make you suspect a tesseract opened up to the Golden Age of Radio - until you start listening to their insane and insanely funny "conversations."

And, as always, the Rat features master of dark "German" nightclub humor and Continental kitsch, Gregory Levine as Gregor of Berlin. Gregor will regale the audience with horrid tales of Teutonic childhood, decadence, morphine, prostitution, and of course, life in European show biz (seen in the Capital Fringe, FRIGID Festival, Travel Channel, Guilty Pleasures Cabaret and Guinness Book of World Records for Longest Continuous Variety Show).

Ten-Foot Rat Cabaret plays at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) every Second Saturday of the month at 10:30pm.
