Reinhard Herzog and Scott Chalfant Voted Best of Show at Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival
Reinhard Herzog, of Ballwin, Missouri and owner of The Reinhard Herzog Glass Studio, was voted the "Best of Show in Three Dimensional Art" for his Open Wavy Cup at the 55th annual Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival in Nappanee, Indiana. He competed with nearly 300 artists and artisans from 229 cities and 30 states who displayed and sold their original creations at this nationally-recognized, juried event.
The judges selected Scott Chalfant of Cowden, Illinois and owner of Chiseled Designs, for his wood intarsia titled Landscape.
The annual Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival has been rated among the top 200 festivals in the nation and the Eighth Top Traditional Craft Show by Sunshine Artist Magazine. In addition, Leisure Group Travel Magazine lists it as one of the Top 50 Outstanding Festivals and Events, and the American Bus Association has selected this premiere art event as one of the Top 100 Events in North American for an unprecedented three years.
Amish Acres historic farm and heritage resort is the only Amish farmstead listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
