Inappropriate for whom? I'm not sure how brief, tasteful nudity or drug references automatically make a show "inappropriate". It truly depends on the person for whom you are considering the show.

As a blanket statement, however, it has more than drug references -- there is blatant drug use. (mostly pot) addtionally, there are MANY sexual references/situations.

Personally: I would suggest High School and up, but I'm sure there are individuals younger that could handle it. My kids 12 & 8 listen to the recording constantly and I don't censor it in any way. But bring them to see it? Not yet.

For me it's entirely appropriate. For you, who can say?

Very poor choice of adjective!

Not a poor choice of adjective....just lacking details.

Nudity, language, simulated drug use, a fair amount of clothed simulated sex...

And my 16-year-old daughter would probably love every second of it. Not for that content necessarily, but for the entire atmosphere of the show. I swear she was born 40 years too late.

There really is no reason to attack the choosing of the adjective "inappropriate" when it comes to this show. No matter how "tasteful" you try and make nudity, and drug use, there will always be a fair number of people who consider it ridiculously inappropriate.

Is no one going to mention "Sodomy," the song that lists every sexual act and wonders why it sounds so bad when it feels so good?
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

Well,not EVERY sex act...

How about a second verse for "Sodomy":

Sodomy... Rusty Trombone...
Dirty Sanchez... Cleveland Steamer...

When I went, I saw a kid that had to be no more than 8 or 10 years old. I do believe the material is a little too mature for someone of that age. I think high school would be okay though.

I was at the revival one night where, after Bryce finished that number, not one but two families with small children *fled* the theatre. Apparently the listing of pharmaceuticals in Hashish is fine, but the listing of sex acts in Sodomy, not so much.

If you're asking the question that way, the answer is "Totally."

I think it depends on whether or not you happen to select a seat where cast members thrust their crotches in your face...

I think The Little Mermaid and The Lion King are inappropriate. It's all subjective.
