Ok, so I really hope I get to see her in HAIR, but I must say... she is so adorable. I LOVE this video of her singing "Paper Planes" from VOTE! I don't know which I love more.. her or the song (which is Amazing imo)
I was outside of the theater and it was right after the show ended. Allison comes out of the lobby doors in costume and is acting like an airplane (arms up and sound affects) :) I laughed and she heard me, so she waved and laughed back. Gotta love her!
i've actually been listneing to that youtube video for the past week lol shes so great! i lover her Frank Mills i can't wait to hear it on the cast recording.

Well, I definitely liked her more in that video than I did when I saw her in Mamma Mia! but I still don't think she's all that great. She IS adorable though.
"Somethin's comin', I don't know what it is but it is gonna be great!"
"I'm in the minority, but I love loved her in Mamma Mia."
I don't necessarilly think you're in the minority at all. More so the two people who didn't like her would not shut up about it for about two months. I've stated it before and I will say again that she was my favorite Sophie. She brought such a natural, crunchy quality to the role that I think was just different than the bubble-gummy, overly energized performances that had been done before and I guess most people were used to.
Not only do I think she is very talented. She is also a total sweetheart. I remember when I saw her in Mamma Mia she was chatting with me for a good long while after signing autographs, her friend was meeting her after the show and she told her friend to wait while she finished the conversation with me. Most actors from what I have either seen or experienced would have used the fact that someone was meeting them after the show as an excuse to leave the conversation. This was the first time where an actor told the friend to wait so that she could continue talking with a fan.
My only other experience running into her was when I was taking photos of the Hair marquee for my digital photography class at college. This was a little bit before previews started and I noticed, but paid little attention to the fact that the cast was leaving the theatre after what I guess was a rehearsal. I went on about my business taking pictures of the marquee and the signs around the theatre. She randomly walked up to me and asked me if I had plans to see the show, what I was taking pictures for etc etc etc.
Based upon these two experiences I am starting to believe that she is the nicest performer on Broadway. And, she is very beautiful to boot.
Said it before and I will say it again. She is one of my favorite Sophies I have seen in Mamma Mia. Granted I have only seen three (Anderson, Case and Burkhardt) but she is by far my favorite.
