Cubby Bernstein |
I would kinda be like kicking a dead horse.
I'll have them clawing at eachother, like drag queens at a wig sale"

^ yeah he is small.
He may do another series,if Shrek is nominated, I think that it would be the underdog. He would be rallying for his own show.

Slightly off topic, but when I saw him back at the stage door of Shrek (second preview on Broadway) almost everybody called him Cubby! He sorta just smiled and signed...
But when he came to us and we said "You did great tonight, Adam!", he brightened up... Then we went on to talk to him about Shrek and how intimidating it must be to be in a show this huge for the first time. He replied, "I've cried every performance here so far before the show.". This just made me want to huge him more! But the cutest thing was that he really took his time with his script (tounge half out as he curls his letters).
I hope he's Cubby again this year!

I think if he comes back year after year it'll get annoying. It was fun. Let's not kill it.

11 maybe?
I can't recall.
I've worked with his mother before. Wonderful family.
If one of the shows hires the marketing company that created Cubby (Adam auditioned for it...), then of course he'll be back! It all depends.

I got annoyed when I saw they put him as Cubby on the Defying Inequality photos.

I'm the one who did that investigation because I remember hearing about that back in May.

Okay, now that that's over and done with, let's get back to our normal gentle selves.
"Long live God!" (GODSPELL)
I was in a production of Les Mis with Adam. Such a nice kid!
(While I'd like Cubby Bernstein to continue, we should remember that it was the producers of Xanadu that created the show, so I kind of doubt that it will continue.)

No. It wasn't the producers of Xanadu.
It was a marketing team hired to help the Xanadu Tony Campaign

Don't you have some LUPWNing to do somewhere?

Hmm...I sent a card to Adam at the theater, complimenting him for his Cubby performances and congratulating him for Shrek. I received a nice thank you card in return signed by Adam and a hint from someone (probably his dad) to look for Cubby again this Tony season. I was thinking maybe he could stir up a fake animosity between shows by throwing his (Cubby's) weight behind a rival show. Might be kind of fun, if the Shrek producers would go for it. At any rate, Adam was so good as Cubby I expect him to be playing the Raul Esparza role in the next Bdwy revival of Speed-the-Plow, hopefully with a different co-star who doesn't overindulge in sushi.

"I got annoyed when I saw they put him as Cubby on the Defying Inequality photos."
Why?
Both Cubby Bernstein and Dyllun von Ritter were onstage doing their thing at Defying Inequality so what's wrong with that? His billing or his presence? Senor Wences wasn't that guy's real name either, but that's how he was billed throughout his career.
And why not bring Cubby back for another Phony Awards season? God knows, since Alex Cohen stopped producing those awards shows, they need all the help they can get.
