I did it in March with my fmaily- it was a lot of fun. I learned a lot I didn't know, but I have a feeling lots of people here would have known most of what was said.

What theatres did they take you into backstage?

Wow! That looks really fun- I would be interested in something like that. May be one of these days I'll look into it!

I went inside the St. James and the Martin Beck (now Al Hirschfeld). You don't really go backstage- you get to go into the theatre and sit in the audience and then you learn some history about the theatre- but it was really neat because when we went there was all this tech stuff going on onstage. That was cool to watch.

Yes, I took this tour. We went inside the Walter Kerr (beautiful) and the Eugene O Neill. I felt it was quite informing, but it was nothing I couldn't have read in a good theatre book. But it was a small fee to pay to see the interior of such gorgeous houses.

Darn! The tours are only at 10 on Sat. in the winter. My train comes in at 10:30. Sounds like a fun tour.

Sounds like a good tour but $25 plus the $6 Telecharge fees sounds a little steep to me.

You can buy the tickets at the Visitor Center. If you're interested I'd go with that idea so as to avoid any unnecessary service charges a la Telecharge.
