And Piven's an idiot. If he wanted any credibility he would've refrained from showing up to all of these events and parties or traveling all over the world.
<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree. ~Dirty Rotten Scoundrels~
There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel. ~Curtains~
It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known. ~A Tale of Two Cities ~
And actually, I honestly have to thank Jeremy; his departure made the show better. And if he hadn't left, I wouldn't have gotten to see two of my favorite actors completely rock the stage together.
Nice forced smile to cover his loss. (Is it wrong that I am gleeful?)
BTW to BWW: GRATEFUL. Greatful isn't a word. OY.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Even if the show is much better off without him, this is still such a douche bag move. He didn't have to drop out completely, he's clearly feeling better. I hope the producers do follow through with the lawsuit!

Of course. I thought it was obvious that I wasn't being completely serious. I've been saying since this happened, that sick or not, he's handled the whole thing poorly. HUGE dick move on his part. He screwed that production over and totally left them all hanging. But, for me, there is a flip side to it -- and a silver lining.
Oh, Emcee I wasn't directing that at you, I was just saying in general. I mean I know you weren't saying it was an OK thing for him to do. If only you could translate tone online!

TinesSquareRegular, please explain if you read this why Miss Marky Mark's comments are sarcastic? To me it just seems blatant like He knows, as we all do that Piven and his Doctor friend are liars and it's all a big joke.
But to anyone working on the show, it meant extra rehearsals, extra money, and a lot of heartache. At least it gave two other terrific actors some work.

Wouldn't that, then, warrant sarcasm? I agree that what he did to his co-stars and colleagues involved with the show on all levels was really, really sh*tty, but by being sarcastic and basically discounting Piven's credibility here, isn't Wahlberg more or less condemning the behavior? And if he's suggesting that the whole mercury poisoning thing was ridiculous, that's not making light of what Jeremy did to the show. He's not exactly playing along.
