I get the impression that Cheyenne takes his relationship with his boyfriend seriously and the fact that it's lasted for 9 years would seem to indicate such. I don't think the money aspect plays into it at all and there are certainly enough "backers" out there that could set him up very nicely. He's always seemed like a very sincere sort of person to me.
"Well, it sounds better than 'Daddy's got deep pockets.'"
Physicists aren't rich...like any other field, if they work for the right company in the right position they can make a lot of money, but in general physicists don't make much more than the average college professor (and since that's what most of them are, it's fitting).
From what I know, Cheyenne's boyfriend is around the same age as he is, so the term "daddy" is unfortunate ! They have a great, loving, monogamous relationship for 9 YEARS !!! Is it that hard to accept, without trying to find an ulterior motive behind it ? Not everyone is a whore, you know !
I was actually only referring to the phrase "male physicist." The NY Post is generally extremely homophobic, and gossip items on Page Six can be particularly nasty toward gays.
I can't figure out if they're being respectful or not, but "male physicist" sounds stilted.
If Cheyenne were a straight celebrity, they would simply say his spouse was a physicist. Why did they need to insert the word "male"? The entire item was making the point that he is out and gay.
They could simply have said "...has been with his partner, a physicist, for nine years..."
It does read funny, PJ. In that one, tiny paragraph they pointed out Cheyenne's sexual orientation 3 times. Once blatantly ("is openly gay"), once about his partner, and finally in mentioning that he and his partner went to a gay bar. Offensive or not, it's terribly written...
Call the understudy / I can't go on tonight / I'm drinking with my buddy / I'm getting good and tight / Before they raise the curtain I'll be higher than a kite / So call the understudy
I can't go on tonight
You'd almost think the Post was treating it as some kind of revelation -- HELLO?????????? The important thing is, IMO, that not only is Cheyenne a fine performer and handsome as a Greek god, he's a very kind and decent sort of human being.
