I need a monologue for my audition for TOMMY! I'm not auditioning for a particular part but I just need a 1-2 minute monologue for the first audition and I want something with a similar tone to the show.

I am thinking of the following for my song:

Let Me Drown- Lippa's Wild Party
Going Down- Hair
Don't Walk Away- Xanadu
Heaven On Their Minds- JCSS

thanks!

It's the music and I'm its hapless victim

I just did the Bobby monologue from A Chorus Line today for an audition, it worked well.

I would also look into something from "Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feeling So Sad!" by Arthur Kopit. Lots of great moments and monologues, most of them very macabre in tone.

My lip gloss is poppin'...

also check out the play MARVIN'S ROOM. There is a young male character in it (forget the character name, sorry), around your age, who is pretty disturbed and has some great writing (all the writing in the show is good). Since most of the guys in TOMMY are also kinda "out there" it might work well for this, and for you in general.

Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys. "I guarantee that we'll have tough times. I guarantee that at some point one or both of us will want to get out. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life..."
