It's not a high school, but a community theater production of THE GOAT, OR WHO IS SYLVIA? Jump to around the 1:23:00 mark for some gold.

I like how they happily boogie off the stage after the curtain call as if they'd just finished performing Legally Blonde or something.
Art has a double face, of expression and illusion.

Madame Thenardier mixes up the real and the sugar glass bottle and slams it on an actors head. The show must go on, I guess.

Not sure if this is the correct place, but here is a teenaged Matthew Morrison in two youth theather shows.

The "Legally Blonde" one is INFAMOUS within the cast I did the show with a few years back. We watched it and we were laughing so hard we were crying. And the comments are SPECTACULAR in how moved people are by it.

I refuse to believe the SNL cast didn't see it and spoof this exact one.

We are due for years and years of white kids butchering Hamilton in school productions, I am afraid.

My senior year school play. If you want to know which one I am, look for the one in the blue shirt you can't understand.

Oh they absolutely did. The beginning of the video matches almost identically what SNL was doing in their sketch.

This past year my school did a fall play of Cuckoo's Nest. It was very untraditional with some of the patients being genderbent to eliminate the theme of men vs. women and turn it into the opression of outsiders in society, the elimination of all the f-bombs as we are a public school, and she shifted the focus of the show from McMurphey to Bromden through the staging and incidental music. We got it adjudicated for State festival. They maligned us. The adjudicators accused our director of "evicerating" the script by the elimination of some of the language, said that our Ratched was unbelievable as "small, pretty girls" can't portray power and dominance, and that the "only" people in the cast that were good were McMurphey, Bromden, and Billy (who they did love). Another production got adjudicated and went to States. They too took out much of the language and had a "small, pretty girl" play Ratched. They don't gender-bend. Ironically, neither productions were better or worse, just that each had completely different interpretations. Even though it was a very disappointing experience, we aren't (that :) ) bitter and are still proud of what we did. We love our production, interpretation, set and would never change it. Here's a picture of our set before the show started: https://goo.gl/photos/djomCuMJDGEafycdA

Friend of mine was in that but I can't remember which part she was since I've lost contact with her. If I remember correctly, Wednesday had mono the week before which explains why Pulled became a duet at the end of it.

I'm always scared to see a show that I was in pop up here.  God knows I was in some real dogs. :/

I second that. For the most part the shows I did were all good, just could have had better direction.

^I worry about that too! Though I am 99% sure all my shows only exist on DVD and not on the internet.

Some hilarious, albeit illegal, changes I've seen/heard of over the years:

A production of "Mary Poppins" that added a third Banks child.

A production of "Seussical" that cut "It's Possible".

A production of "Into the Woods" that used two different actors to play Milky White; one for when she was alive, and one for when she was dead. The latter was listed in the Playbill as "Dead Cow".

A production of "Alice in Wonderland" that added a few extra Tweedles.

In high school, I was in "The Sound of Music", and the kid playing Fredrick looked NOTHING like the rest of the siblings (he was Filipino), and our Maria (they were both seniors) offered him $50 to say, during the last show, "I'm Fredrick, I'm fourteen, and I'm adopted." But he didn't do it.

Also when I was in high school, we did "Fiddler on the Roof" and we had painted a farm field for the main backdrop. But the music director had written all the colors in before they painted it (paint by numbers style) and he wrote it in CHARCOAL! So you could see the words "tan" "green" "brown" THROUGH the paint!! Luckily we had some parent volunteers do another coat of paint the DAY OF the show, but it was close.

One notable example was we did a production of Phantom. The first major mistake was we decided to buy the entire set rather than try to make our own which would have worked better since we have a smaller stage. The chandelier was too big to fit in the doorway (double doors with the bar in the middle) so we had to take it apart and only use one half.

As a result of the small stage several other set pieces were cut which made quite a few scenes look awkward

Every year since then we decided to build our own sets.

I just went down the same youtube rabbit hole. Good lord. Laughing at this feels like bullying but I can't help myself.

I mean, we were mostly fine with lackluster direction. Things started to fall apart when I was leaving. Though somewhere out there is a video of me phoning it in during a matinee Anything Goes (it was high school, I was emotional) that never needs to resurface... though I imagine our very white Ching and Ling are more invested in making sure that production never sees the light of day. Yeah... our high school director... I don't have very many nice things to say about her.

I went back to see the show they did the year after I left. I filmed it. Let's just say I have blackmail if I ever need it.

Also, that Dead Cow thing is the best thing I've heard all day.

I kind of like Alice. She seems like the only one in Telephone Hour who isn't...phoning it in.
