Did anyone see the humongous 10 foot tall (balloon) monstrosity in the middle of Times Square this weekend? Mobs of tourist families taking pix of their children in front of this thing. I never notice anything (living around here and all), but this.....! Yucky. I don't even remember the name of the movie.
Oh dear lord Jesus Christ mighty Jehovah Mary and Joseph monkeyballs.
That is a sickening sight.

-Nellie McKay on the 2006 Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera, in which she played Polly Peachum
Look, I know Times Square is the tackiest, most garish and irritating place on God's Green Earth but would it kill the powers that be to just say "no" every now and then?
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
~ Muhammad Ali
Why is this is on the Broadway board? I mean, yes there are Broadway Theatres in and around Times Square, but I hardly see why something about a giant replica of Eddie Murphy's head in Time Square should be on the Broadway board and not the Off-Topic board?
With that out of the way, were the people that came up with the idea for the movie and this promotion high? This film looks horrendous even though it's got some good reviews, but it looks like flat out crap. It looks like it would be worse than Norbit. The trailer for this came on when I saw Get Smart and there were people laughing at it and I just sat there and went, "Why are you laughing at this? It's not funny. It's stupid."
They really should tear down that thing in Times Square. It's the stupidest promotion for a movie ever and it's a giant eyesore.
Reminds me when there was a giant inflated toilet in Leicester Square in London, with people whooshing down it. I couldn't figure out what the heck it was, but it was apparently for "Flushed Away," which I think did about as well as Eddie Murphy's new movie will. Although it's a toss-up whether I'd rather see a giant toilet or a giant Eddie Murphy head in a major metropolitan square.
'"Contrairiwise," continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."'

I was talking on my phone "Yah I just say Gypsy Patti was HOLYF***N SH*T oh no I mean she was amazing but there is a huge head in the middle of Time Square" Now that you mention it I've seen weirder!
