A) You offer no PROOF that any of this actually happened.
B) This is not small claims court.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

This is why you don't buy stuff from random strangers you don't really know online - if it even happened. Never send someone a check in the mail because there is no guarantee that you will get it!

If you would have paid him by PayPal, you could have gotten a refund.
You essentially mailed him cash. That offers you no security should something like this happen.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Seems kind of strange as his last posts were on May 18th which mentioned the sale of his Lobby Card collection. Either something terribly wrong happened, or he just up and ran with the funds he received.
As I said in the deleted thread, I have bought a ticket from him in the past without incident.
I also had offered to buy one of his offerings on the last thread but had asked if I could hold off a few weeks, which he said I could. But I haven't heard back from him since, so perhaps something is wrong.

Not totally true- do a trace and prove that the money order was cashed, and you can then file a mail fraud complaint with the USPS. I had to do that against an eBay seller once wayback in the day- my emails went unanswered, and then started getting bounced back to me; I went the mail fraud complaint route and I don't know what the USPS does on their end, but I had my item in like the next seven days.

Very odd.
I bought a South Pacific ticket from him (paid via Paypal) and got it in the mail from him a week later. Ticket was legitimate and a fantastic seat.
He did mention he had fallen ill, hence having to sell the tickets. Wasn't sure if this story is true, but corresponds with the disappearance.

Maybe he died. Your anger forced upon the world at large is far more important than someone's health, amirite?

When the initial post came out, I sent him funds via Paypal for an autographed lobby card. He then advised that when he took the poster out it contained a crease and that he refunded my money. My money was refunded into my Paypal account.

Geez, alive doesn't mean healthy. He did say illness forced him to sell the collection, perhaps he has fallen too ill to respond to your inquiries. Don't be so quick to judge.
On the other hand. If you have been "scammed"; the money is lost. It's your own fault. He didn't put a gun to your head. You elected to send money to a stranger. There's no sense spouting your angst in a thread because you used questionable judgement. Common sense trumps trust every time Gypsy9. Learn from it and move on.
