Don't judge. Come'on now...
I have faith in *something* working in ACA's favor.
My heart tells me "Tom" but my brain tells me "Paulo".

Very bold choices Mike...

What's interesting though, is that all of these underdog nominees you have chosen are all very deserving, especially actors.

Strong performances this year...should be fun to see how this works out!

But according to your list you haven't seen South Pacific or The 39 Steps yet.

...For the majority of my choices.
Let's not go by 'what I have/n't seen, huh?

Whatever way you look at it, I'm going out on a limb with the majority of these. Plus, I *highly* doubt others who've offered their picks have knowingly and willingly seen ALL of the nominated performances (before) making them public.

I've seen enough clips/read enough background, articles, interviews, etc., of both shows to know what's what.

Pertaining to SOUTH PACIFIC, I sure as heck know what I'm comparing it to, and by all accounts, what's playing the Beaumont right now is 'something wonderful' and THE 39 STEPS, having made 'the big move' to a commercial run, is delighting audiences (Hitchcock and Show Folk alike).

How do you think you can call Best Actor in a Musical, if you haven't seen Paulo Szot's performance? Or something like Sound Design for Play if you haven't seen 39 Steps?

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

By going by what I HAVE seen, silly.
Sure, it's 'unfair' in some respects, but really...
Leave it alone. Goodness, I didn't realize my predictions
would garner such negative energy. I'm sorry for 'jumping
the proverbial gun' with my thoughts.
I won't do it again.

I don't care what you do, frankly. Reading your list, it's just unclear if these are your choices, based upon what you've seen, or your predictions as to what you think will win, based on however your opinions were cobbled together.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Thank you for your predictions, Mike. I hope you are incorrect for Featured Actor in a Musical, Actor in a Musical, and Best Muscial. Those should go to Boyd Gaines, either Paulo Szot or Lin Manuel Miranda, and In the Heights, respectively.

Aren't these more your personal votes than they are predictions?

Yeah, I guess you could look at 'em that way, sure.
In truth, I *do* see it turning out like this.
In this instance, everyone wins and almost every show nominated (play / musical) gets recongized for it's work.

While it would be nice, but that is so not how it works. But props to you for the optimism, I guess.

I think its HARD to make predictions, unless youve seen it all.. I am just saying! re: LimelightMike's TONY Predictions I agree with emcee!

BTW- 39 Steps has an excellent sound design and I think its leading in the SOUND DESIGN category for play.

Wopat is not going to win, its between Szot & Evans.. I am rooting for Evans, but most likely it will go to Paulo Szot.

David Pittu is not going to win neither, its between Esparza & Cannavale.

Xanadu will NOT win the Tonys, its really between Passing Strange & In The Heights! No one in their right mind will say that Xanadu will win! Dont get me wrong...love Xanadu, but I am realistic person!

Mike, don't mind smaxie, she is a cranky witch and a know-it-all.

However, I think it will be Mary Testa over Benanti.

PEACE.

I think Glory Days has a chance to beat out ITH and PS. Think about it: they'll vote-split, nobody likes Cry-Baby, and Xanadu opened too long ago. Ergo, it's Nick Blaemire's year to shine.

Seriously though-Wopat for Actor? What mushrooms are you on?

I have a feeling that most of the Tony voters missed Is He Dead, so David Pittu has virtually no chance of winning. Same might go with Mauritius, and The Homecoming (that we know for sure), therefore, Jim Norton is probably the front runner of this category. Another one of the categories that isn't as reliable due to faulty voting rules.

That being said, I did see all the nominees but Bobby Cannavale, and Jim Norton is the front runner in my book.
