No... because the OP clearly has not seen the show.
I hate when people try to bash a show based on assumptions. When they attempt to be judgemental, despite not knowing any of the material or never seeing a production of it.
It just makes him/her look like a complete dumbass.
I agree about the whole-- you never know if a show is going to be good or not until you see it.
I mean look at all the Xanadu comments and now it has so many fans!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
isnt the set for Shrek supposed to cost more than mary poppins and the unmentionable musical about the two Bit...witches from oz?

My favourite maxim, and one that has stood me in good stead many a time. I'll always wait until I've experienced something before judging it, and even if I think something's going to suck, I'm always happy to be proved wrong. ^_^
I also agree with "you never know if a show is going to be good or not untill you see it". Im very excited to see this show. Im rooting for it to become a hit:)
"You will understand that Bww is a forum that allows Theatre people, Fussy old Queens, and chorus boys of Mama Mia to release their everyday life's frustration by being Snarky, B**chy, and sarcastic."
-BwayBoundJoe
I think people just need to give it a chance. Look at legally blonde and please don't shoot me, but that was not completely terrible as everyone said it was going to be. I think we just need to wait till it opens. Then we can say whether it sucks. I still think it will be great with the amazing cast that it has. So please keep your comments to a minimum, stop starting new posts every 5 minutes and get over yourself. The nerve of so musicaltheatrefan arch-type people on this board.
"I think lying to children is really important, it sets them off on the right track" -Sherie Rene Scott-
Just like million other people said already don't bash it before you have seen it. People were bashing Xanadu for months before it opened and it turned out to be brilliant. I hate when people do that. Some people thought Young Frankenstein would rack up many tony nominations before it opened and it got 3.
Current Avatar:The sensational Aaron Tveit in the soon to be hit production of Catch Me If You Can.
I love the idea of people hanging on the words of reviews of a production that hasn't happened yet. While we're at it, let's talk about the reviews of Marty with John C. Reilly.
