A friend of mine told me that he met a friend in college (I know it sounds like a family line) that said when he would see a Broadway show and stage door afterwards, he would have a card or resume ready to give the actors he meets or even the stage door manager. He saw it as "marketing".
I told my friend this was dumb. What is everyone elses thoughts?

Posted: 6/9/08 at 1:42amI agree that is not the best place to hand people that sort of thing. It would be one thing if they just happened to coincidently meet somewhere and talk about that sort of thing, but other than that, it is a waste of time.
