By the way, Willemijn Verkaik is Dutch, not German. Dutch people really don't like it when you say, "Your language sounds like German" or "Dutch culture is similar to German culture". They are totally separate. There is still anti-German sentiment in the Netherlands. I don't agree with that, but I must respect the wishes of the Dutch people. Updated On: 6/5/08 at 05:31 PM
Ja, but someone said "The German One". She is not German, she never will be German, it is out of her control if she even wanted to be German. SHE'S NOT GERMAN! (I'm not talking about citizenship, she could probably get that, although she probably wouldn't want to. I'm talking ethnicity. You can't change YOUR ethnicity. No matter how much I would want to, I can never be Black or Asian).
"The German one" was specifying her to the production she was a part of. It's the same as calling Eden Espinosa "the LA one.." or calling "Hellen Dalimore" the London one, she's Australian... but she was in the London production... The original poster wasn't talking about her ethnicity at all... no need to get your panties in a twist...
save your argumentative soap-box energy for something that's worth it.... I'm sure someone will start a "Who's the better Wendla" thread soon. :)
